Definitions

“The Hidden Hill,” “we,” or “us” refers to the operator of this site. “Guest” means anyone submitting a trip request. “Supplier” means the independent host, driver, or guide arranged for a trip. “Trip” means the combination of stay, transport, and any guide or trek requested and confirmed together.

What The Hidden Hill is

The Hidden Hill acts as an agent arranging services between guests and independent suppliers, not as the seller of accommodation or transport. Each supplier is responsible for the service they provide; The Hidden Hill is responsible for arranging your trip accurately and confirming it with the supplier on your behalf.

When a booking is confirmed

Submitting a trip request is not a confirmed booking. A member of our team confirms availability directly with the host, by phone or WhatsApp, within 12 hours of your request. A trip is only confirmed once you receive that confirmation — the request form itself never guarantees a room.

Pricing and payment

The Hidden Hill collects an arrangement fee — 10% of your total trip value — once your trip is confirmed. This fee is what you pay us; it is not a deposit on the room. Everything else (the stay, transport, and any guide) is paid directly to the relevant supplier, typically on arrival. Every booking breakdown states clearly what is paid to whom.

Force majeure

Neither The Hidden Hill nor any supplier is liable for a trip disrupted by events outside reasonable control — landslides, road closures, bandhs, or refusal of a required permit. Where this happens, the guest is entitled to a full refund or credit of the arrangement fee, their choice, per our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Guest obligations

Guests must carry valid government-issued photo ID for every member of the group at check-in, as required by the host. Guests are responsible for confirming any permit requirements specific to their trip in advance, where applicable.

Limitation of liability

The Hidden Hill's liability for any claim arising from a trip is limited to the arrangement fee paid for that trip. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, or service quality of independent suppliers, beyond our obligation to arrange the trip accurately and in good faith.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal.
